MIB moves to Luminy, marking a new stage in its development

Marseille, 23 September 2026 – The Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolitan Authority has handed over the keys to the LB3 building on the Luminy campus to MIB. This marks a new stage in the establishment of two of the biocluster’s technology platforms: B-Screen and Cell-Scale.

These facilities will support the continued development of both platforms at the Luminy site. The two platforms will offer research teams and industry partners complementary technologies and expertise to study immune responses and develop new therapeutic approaches.

Two platforms with complementary activities

B-Screen focuses on the discovery and characterisation of antibodies and immune receptors derived from B and T cells using patient samples. It combines single-cell screening techniques with immune repertoire analysis and functional validation of the identified molecules. This work can help identify therapeutic targets and antibodies with potential therapeutic applications.

Cell-Scale supports the development, engineering and evaluation of new cell-based immunotherapies, including those based on CAR-T, CAR-NK and CAR-γδ T cells. Its expertise covers several stages, from vector design to in vivo preclinical validation.

Services available in France and internationally

With the support of the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolitan Authority, the establishment of B-Screen and Cell-Scale at Luminy represents a concrete step in developing MIB’s technological capabilities. Based in Marseille, both platforms will offer their services to academic research teams and industry partners in France and internationally.
