Marseille, July 2026 – Marseille Immunology Biocluster has become a member of France BioLead, the national accelerator and representative of France’s biomanufacturing ecosystem for biomedicines.
This membership marks an important step in MIB’s commitment to strengthening a sovereign, innovative and collaborative healthcare ecosystem in France. It places the biocluster within a national momentum aimed at reinforcing France’s capacity to develop, manufacture and provide access to the therapies of tomorrow.
Created under the impetus of France 2030, France BioLead brings together the entire value chain of biomanufacturing for biomedicines: academic research, training organisations, hospitals, biotech companies, industrial players, CDMOs, technology providers, competitiveness clusters and professional associations. Its ambition is clear: to make France a European leader in biomanufacturing and to ensure broader access to therapeutic innovations for the greatest number of patients.
For MIB, joining France BioLead means strengthening the connections between Marseille’s immunology ecosystem and the national structuring of the biomedicines sector. Rooted in Marseille, a city with a long-standing tradition of excellence in immunology, MIB brings together academic, hospital, industrial and institutional stakeholders around a shared goal: accelerating the translation of scientific discoveries into concrete therapeutic innovations for patients.
Biomedicines are playing an increasingly central role in the future of healthcare. Derived from living organisms, they include vaccines, antibodies, gene therapies and cell therapies. They open up new perspectives for diseases that remain insufficiently addressed by existing treatments, including cancers, autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases, chronic diseases and rare diseases.
Their development, however, does not rely on scientific excellence alone. It also requires strong industrial capabilities, regulatory expertise, technological infrastructure, specific skills and close collaboration between research, healthcare and industry.
This is precisely where MIB intends to contribute. By structuring an ecosystem dedicated to immunology, immunotherapies and translational medicine, MIB acts as a catalyst between laboratories, hospitals, technology platforms, startups, biotech companies and industrial partners.
This membership in France BioLead will help strengthen synergies with national biomanufacturing stakeholders, foster public-private collaborations and contribute to the attractiveness of the French biomedicines sector. It is also aligned with MIB’s ambition to position Marseille as a strategic European hub for immunology and immunotherapies.
Through this collective dynamic, MIB reaffirms its commitment to helping structure the therapies of tomorrow, supporting innovation, healthcare sovereignty and patient access to new therapeutic solutions.
